Is that for real about your brother, that's freaky.
Were you able to take notes when people were giving feedback? I find that helpful. Even if I do understand what people are saying, it's unlikely that I'll actually remember most of it so I write quick notes. Now if only I did so in a systematic way so that I would actually find those notes later, that would be ideal. But at least the process of writing down the notes helps. I wonder if it would help in comprehension.
As for future blog material, don't worry, I predict your advisor will supply plenty of additional inspiration.
